Local relevance
Keep the focus on Philadelphia and nearby communities, with information people can connect to locally.
About the guide
Local technology knowledge should open doors.
True Gemini Technology is developing a practical, community-centered source of information about technology, digital skills, and IT opportunities in Philadelphia and nearby communities.
Why this work matters
People deserve clear information about the technology that shapes daily life, learning, and work.
This effort is informed by graduate research on technology in education and the gap in access to IT training for Black youth and low-income residents. The aim is to make local information easier to find and connect entry-level learning with pathways toward employers.
What guides the work
Plain language
Explain technology topics clearly and make the next useful step easier to see.
Opportunity
Help connect digital skills and entry-level IT pathways to learning and work.
Collaboration
Recognize the role of residents, educators, community organizations, funders, and employers.
